What child doesn’t enjoy a good bedtime story? Nearly every night my wife and I read to our children as they were growing up. Today, the bookshelves, and e-readers, are filled with many fantastic Bible storybooks for children of all ages. I believe all children should be taught the stories of Adam and Eve in the garden, Noah and the flood, Moses parting the Red Sea, and so on. I decided to write stories about children living in Bible times. To be clear, they are not the usual retelling of David verses Goliath. Instead, they are written from a child’s perspectives. For example, Marcus, a boy who with an anger problem meets a shipwrecked Apostle. Paul’s message offers Marcus new hope.
Like children today, Noah’s great grandson, Nim, just wants to be accepted by his peers. When a group of boys set out on an adventure into the mountains to explore the ark, Nim attempts to prove he belongs. My readers will find adventure and drama, hardships and friendships. My sincere hope is that they will gain a better appreciation for the scriptures that will last a lifetime.
I live in central New York with my loving wife. I enjoy fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. My get-to-the-point writing style comes from thirty years work in information technology.
